These self-contained power chucks have been designed for machining of bar stocks, pipes and flanges.
The chucks are activated by a built-in cylinder, which eliminates drawbar/drawtube, thus keeping the bore free.
The compressed air is fed into the chucks through the profile seals only when the chucks are in a stationary
condition.
The compressed air actuates the piston rod through the non-return safety valve.
The movement of the jaws is controlled by the force acting on the piston that is transmitted to the base jaw by the chucking piston
through the wedge systems. On completion of the chucking operation, the pressure is maintained by the nonreturn
safety valves.
The salient features of the self-contained chucks are:
* Built-in cylinder
* High gripping force
* No need of draw bar / draw tube
* Easy for mounting
* Chucking & unchucking with spindle top
* Spindle bore is free for bar work
* Double non-return safety valves
