
These chucks locate the bevel gear in reference to the pitch-line of the teeth, thereby providing a high degree of
concentricity and accuracy. The angular moving jaws clamp the gear against the butting surface. They even
average out the errors of primary operations for improved quality.
The modular design enables the length of the arm and height of the jaws to be altered easily, thereby allowing the
chucks to accommodate various sizes of components.
If required, these chucks can also be supplied with self-contained air cylinder and 90 swivel face clamps can be
used instead of angular movement face clamps.
While the chuck mounting details depend on the machine spindle, the weight, clamping and overhand details
depend upon the component to be machined.
